ABOUT THE PRACTICE


Ray Blume, M.A., is a licensed marriage and family therapist in private practice since 1995 in Gibbsboro, Camden County, NJ.

Ray is an accredited member of the New Jersey Association of Professional Mediators (NJAPM), and clinical member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (AAMFT.) He has served as president of the South Jersey chapter of NJAMFT since 2009 through 2012.

Ray received his Master's degree from LaSalle University in Pastoral Counseling, with a concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy.

Regarding his approach to therapy, Ray states "my therapeutic approach includes an eclectic mix of contextual, cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness (mind/body connection) and, when applicable, utilizing one's faith as a resource in treatment."

Ray provides consulting services to area school system teachers, staff support and students. These services include: facilitating student groups in conflict resolution, grief and loss, anger management, and leading parenting skills workshops in communication skills and training, behavior modification, and the issues of single parent families, step-families, foster care, adoptive families and school violence.
